Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled.
He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, and in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.
Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness.
He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.
My flesh and my heart fails, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
A prayer

Lord, this pain has become a constant companion, and some days I am simply worn out from carrying it. You have not promised me a life free of suffering, but you have promised to be near and to be my strength when mine runs out. I ask for relief, and I ask for endurance while I wait for it.
Renew whatever is being worn down in me, seen and unseen, and help me find moments of good even inside a hard body. In Jesus' name, Amen.
