For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

Lord, I am terrified of failing at this, of letting people down, or letting myself down, or proving my fears about myself right. Remind me that my worth was never tied to getting this perfect. You are the one who finishes what concerns me, not my own performance.
Give me courage to try anyway, strength for what’s actually mine to do, and grace to receive help along the way. Whatever happens, keep my identity anchored in you and not in the outcome. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
