God feels distant right now
For when belief feels hard to hold onto.
Also for god feels far away · spiritual dryness · can't feel god's presence · distant from god · spiritual desert · god is silent · feeling disconnected from god · god seems absent · longing to feel close to god
Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.”
Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence? If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there!
Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
Nevertheless, I am continually with you. You have held my right hand. You will guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

Lord, I don’t feel you the way I used to, and the silence is unsettling. I know feelings aren’t the whole story, but I still miss the closeness. I am choosing to draw near to you even without the feeling, trusting that you promised to draw near in return.
Don’t let this season of distance become permanent in my heart. Speak to me in whatever way you choose, and help me keep showing up even when it feels quiet on your end. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
