Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
“Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.
He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” He said, “Write, for these words of God are faithful and true.”
I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Lord, I want a fresh start so badly I can feel it in my chest. Not just new circumstances, but a new heart underneath them. Thank you that you specialize in exactly this, making old things new.
Help me release what I keep dragging forward from the past, and give me the grace to actually receive the clean slate you are offering instead of disqualifying myself from it. I want to become new, not just look busy trying. In Jesus' name, Amen.
