For purpose, direction, and daily labor.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.
having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us: if prophecy, let’s prophesy according to the proportion of our faith;
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Lord, I don’t have a clear sense of what I’m supposed to be doing with my life, and it unsettles me more than I let on. Help me stop waiting for a perfect sign and start being faithful with what is in front of me right now. You made me with particular gifts for a reason, show me how to use them, even if it’s one small step at a time instead of the whole picture at once.
I trust that you are directing my steps even when I can’t see the destination. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
