Prayers for money and provision
Tempted to love money too much
For trust when finances feel tight.
Also for greed · materialism · love of money · obsessed with wealth · chasing money · money idolatry · never satisfied with money · comparing finances
But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon.
Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.”
He said to them, “Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses.”
“Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me,

Lord, I notice how much time my mind spends chasing more, and I don’t like what that reveals about my heart. Money was never meant to be what I serve. Loosen its grip on me.
Teach me to be content with what I have today instead of always reaching for the next number. Help me hold what you’ve given me with open hands, ready to use it for good rather than clutching it out of fear or ambition. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
