Lord, I long for the kind of friendship that goes deeper than small talk, where I can be fully known and still fully loved. Bring people into my life who are safe to be honest with, and give me courage to open up first instead of waiting for someone else to. Help me be patient while real friendship grows, since it usually takes more time than I want it to.
Until then, let your friendship carry me through what I don't yet have with others. In Jesus' name, Amen.
